50TH ANNIVERSARY OF PRODUCT DESIGN AT TEESSIDE UNIVESITY

Background
Evolution: Creating the Extraordinary is a one-day event commemorating the fifth decade of Teesside University’s prestigious Product Design course. Known for its creative acumen, inherent in problem solving, and producing successful graduates who are a force to be reckoned with today.

The campaign will tell the story of Product Design over the last 50 years, both visually and verbally. Its objectives, networking, craftsmanship, creative leadership, design value, solution, achievement, and beyond. Product Design will mark its 50th anniversary (1973-2023) with a campaign promoting art,
historical images (vintage), alumni works, alumni networking and awards.

Design Thinking
The accompanying artwork includes black and illustrations of alumni, 3D works, and ladder bars, which are part of the reworking of the identity logo to create a geometric template. The event’s bold and expressive typography establishes a distinct look as it is applied across posters, billboards, print ads, bus shelter ads, and digital advertising, promotional swag.

To commemorate the anniversary, we embark on the rebranding Teesmade visual identity, the alumni platform which has been creating extraordinary works and gaining accolades.
